Do you want to tell some stories from home? I am working on a project for school at the moment and I need your help.
I am collecting photographs of small items that we brought and kept from our home country. There's an interesting story in it, for sure. All you have to do is send me a message via e-mail, and we'll arrange an appointment. I am not keeping the items, of course. Just the photos. You have to tell me the story behind the item. A selection of 10-15 photos will be included in a future exhibit for school and maybe, just maybe the rest will be included in a book someday (if I can get enough funding!).
Here's a draft I made, from myself. The style of the photo and/or the text may change in the future but the concept is the same.

EXAMPLE

When we moved back to Manila after the first wave of political killings in the south, I had the opportunity to bring with me the front door key. We never had this kind of thing in the province, mainly, because we always left the door open. In the big city, I would get a hell of a scolding if I forgot to close the front door.
But as important as the key was the membership card to Video City, a popular video-rental shop with hundreds of branches in Manila. It was cheap and I remember dropping by every 2 days and rent movies for me and my friends to watch at home. They usually took care of the food.
